Mediatrix is a product brand associated with Media5 Corporation and the current M5 Technologies portfolio. It connects existing telephone equipment to IP voice services. Alongside these gateways and adapters, Sentinel SBCs control SIP interconnection, while M5T software supports manufacturers integrating communications into their own products. Choose the gateway by the interfaces you need
The Mediatrix 4102/4102S serves two-port analog connections. C7 provides compact configurations with model-dependent analog and BRI interfaces; G7 covers combinations of PRI, BRI, FXS and FXO interfaces. S7 and S7 LP address higher-density analog connections. Consult each model’s data sheet rather than assuming that all interfaces or options are present on every unit.
Modernize existing equipment in controlled phases
An ATA or gateway provides an interface, but the complete service still needs validation. Inventory the endpoints, line characteristics, fax or modem behavior, call routing and power requirements before a cutover. For enterprise and critical communications, define what must happen during an outage and test that behavior. Build acceptance checks around the actual service: incoming and outgoing calls, caller identification, transfers, fax transmission where required, and recovery after an interruption. Record the result for each endpoint type and site configuration. SIP interoperability and secure operation
DGW documentation covers SIP interoperability and security configuration for supported platforms. TLS protects signaling connections; SRTP protects media streams. Those mechanisms depend on configuration and the capabilities of connected systems. Review certificates, trusted peers, software versions and management access as part of the architecture, and use the applicable configuration guide to validate the chosen combination.
Sentinel SBCs and Microsoft Teams Direct Routing
The Sentinel catalogue includes Mini, 100, 400 and CS platforms. Microsoft’s list identifies the Mediatrix Sentinel Series for Direct Routing without media bypass, with DGW 48.0.2340 and recommended DGW 48.5.2718. Certification applies to the listed product and firmware scope; it does not automatically cover every gateway, ATA or Sentinel configuration. Confirm the exact platform and supported software with M5 before deployment.
Embedded voice for OEM product teams
M5T SIP Client Engine is intended for teams embedding SIP calling in their own devices or applications. The software portfolio also includes E-DVA for embedded voice applications and softDSP for media processing.
